Oh, yes I have read this before – and not a few times. It is one of my all time favorite stories. This year I read it because when Mar was in Gold Beach in October, she went to a used book store and bought me two antique book and gave them to me for my birthday. This was one of them. Really, all I needed was an excuse to read it again, and having an new copy was such a good excuse.Yes, I would recommend this to anyone. It is mostly easy to read, but sometimes you have to slow down with Dickens so you can grasp the descriptions. I love his use of language.
Is it on the list of 501 must read books? No, but it is still a must read.
